Paste a list and pick random unique winners or shuffle it. Good for draws and giveaways, in the browser.
Pick random winners or shuffle a list. Nothing is uploaded.
What the random picker does
Paste a list with one item per line and either draw a number of unique winners or shuffle the whole list. It is useful for giveaways, picking who goes first, or randomising a study set.
Frequently asked questions
Can it pick the same item twice?
No. Picks are drawn without replacement, so if you ask for three items you get three different ones.
Is the order truly random?
It uses the browser’s cryptographic-grade random source, which is fine for games and draws.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The list stays in the page.
How to use it
- Paste your entries into the text input, placing one item on each line (for example: Apple, Banana, Cherry, Date).
- Type the exact number of unique selections you need into the “How many to pick” field.
- Click the “Pick” button to draw that many items without replacement; the generated list appears in the result field below.
- Press the “Copy” button to place the output on your clipboard, or click “Shuffle” to randomise the entire list order.
Where it comes in handy
Run a small office raffle with 48 employee names entered into the list, setting the count to 3 to award three identical prizes while guaranteeing no duplicate winner.
Shuffle a 52-card deck before a poker night by typing each rank and suit on its own line, then clicking “Shuffle” to produce a random dealing order in under a second.
Create a 20-question practice quiz from a longer flashcard set of 75 terms: paste the full list, request 20 picks, and copy the result to feed into a spaced-repetition app.
Worth knowing
- The tool treats each line as a separate item; duplicate text strings are allowed and can each be selected independently.
- Empty lines are ignored during input processing, so accidental blank lines do not count as items or reduce the pool.
- If the requested pick count exceeds the number of non-empty lines, the output will contain every available item without repetition.
