Image Watermark — tile text over a photo

Runs 100% in your browser — nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored.

Tile watermark text across an image at any opacity, size and angle, then download a PNG. Drawn on a local canvas.

Draws a tiled text watermark on a local canvas. Nothing is uploaded.

What the image watermark tool does

Open an image, type watermark text, and tile it across the picture at an opacity, font size and angle you control. Toggle the preview to compare, then download a PNG. Everything is drawn on a local canvas.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?
No. The image is read into the page and the watermark is drawn locally.

What format is the download?
A PNG at the original image resolution.

Can I change the look?
Yes: adjust opacity, font size and angle, and type any text. Toggle the preview on and off to check placement.

How to use it

  1. Choose an image. Click the image selector and open a file from your computer. The image loads into the page canvas without uploading anywhere.
  2. Type your watermark text. Enter the words you want repeated across the picture. Adjust the opacity percentage, font size in pixels, and rotation angle to control the appearance.
  3. Preview the result. Toggle the preview on to see the tiled watermark overlaid on your image. Turn it off to compare the original against the watermarked version.
  4. Download the PNG. Click the download button to save the watermarked image as a PNG file at the original image resolution.

Where it comes in handy

A wedding photographer exports 500 preview JPEGs at 4000×2667 pixels and needs a semi-transparent copyright name tiled across every one before sharing links on social media. The tool runs each image locally in under a second, so the full batch completes without waiting for any server round-trip.

A small online retailer uploads 40 product shots at 1200×800 pixels and wants a low-opacity “© 2024 Shop Name” stamp at 28 pixels and a 30-degree angle to discourage image scraping. They process each photo in the browser, review the preview, then download all 40 watermarked PNGs.

A content creator maintains a portfolio of 15 images at 3000×2000 pixels and wants their handle visible but unobtrusive. They set the watermark text to 32 pixels at 45 degrees with 15 percent opacity, verify placement on a few images first, then apply the same settings across the entire batch.

Worth knowing

  • The download is always PNG. If your source image is a JPEG, the output will still be a PNG file, which may increase file size compared to the original.
  • Text is rendered by the browser’s canvas engine. At very small font sizes or extreme angles, characters may appear slightly jagged or pixelated compared to what you see in preview.
  • When the watermark tile dimensions do not divide evenly into the image dimensions, the final row or column of tiles is clipped at the image edge. This can leave uneven spacing along one side of the picture.
